We’re excited for another Document Destruction Month! This year we’re partnering with the Old Town Commercial Association (OTCA)!

The Old Town Commercial Association is committed to keeping Old Town Lansing beautiful. From the beautifully restored historic buildings, cute shops, artwork, planter boxes, and much more, they are integral to making Old Town feel the way it does.

They make this happen by providing:

Revitalization -Writing grants to leverage funding and building, beautification, recruiting and retaining businesses that compliment the area and existing businesses, coordinating clean-up efforts.

Promotion - Maintaining www.iloveoldtown.org, publishing monthly newsletters, conducting regular media interviews and obtaining media coverage for Old Town happenings, drawing thousands to the area with a diverse offering of special events and festivals, and much more.

Advocacy - Working with city officials to maintain roads, improving sidewalks and installing historic street lighting, as well as seeking funding to bring new and exciting features to the area such as bike racks, playground equipment, sculptures, and much more.

Communication - Publishing the Old Town Newsletter, hosting free monthly networking events, and serving as an information resource center for businesses and visitors.

Education - Providing internship opportunities, historic walking tours, and facilitating visitation and educational programs with local schools.
